History Junkies, Keris is one of the Indonesian traditional weapons that accompanied the history of our nation for a long time. Indonesian Keris has been recognized as a World Intangible Cultural Heritage (Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity) by UNESCO on 25 November 2005. As a work of art, it has a distinctive aesthetic beauty value and contains noble philosophical meanings. ⁣

The Ratu Boko Keris Festival, presented with the Lar Gangsir Keris Community which will last for three days, has entered its second year and will be attended by keris craftsmen, academics, artists and keris collectors from various regions in Indonesia. ⁣A variety of activities, such as a keris exchange as a forum for the community to buy and sell keris, a demonstration of making keris, a consultation clinic, a warangka sungging (painting) competition, and a workshop that will fill the Ratu Boko Keris Festival. The activity which took place on 16 – 18 October 2020 will be opened directly by GBPH Yudhaningrat.

In its implementation, in the midst of the current pandemic conditions, strict health protocols will be implemented such as wearing masks, maintaining distance and providing hand washing facilities. In addition, the exhibition area has also been regularly cleaned and disinfected.
