In a bid to promote healthy lifestyles and sports tourism, the Central Java administration and the Borobudur Marathon Foundation have partnered with media giant Kompas to host the Borobudur Marathon. Some 10,000 runners are compete across the full marathon, half marathon and 10-kilometer race categories. They running through villages of Borobudur area.
